Senior Director, Media Planning
Job Description
Your Responsibilities Include
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with Directors of Marketing Strategy across multiple issue areas to develop integrated media plans that support overall campaign goals.
- Brand and Performance Marketing: Lead media planning efforts that balance brand-building activities with direct-response and performance-driven tactics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal paid media teams, digital capabilities, data analytics, and research departments to plan and develop media plans. Coordinate with external partners to complement internal resources.
- Media Buying and Vendor Management: Lead negotiations for media buys with external vendors when necessary, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Track and report on media spending alongside Data & Analytics and Growth Teams, working to optimize budgets for maximum impact.
- Analytics and Reporting: Use media performance data to inform ongoing optimization efforts, ensuring that campaigns meet or exceed KPIs. Present post-campaign performance insights to stakeholders.
- Growth Team Contributions: Work closely with other members of the Growth Team to align media planning with broader organizational strategies for growth and engagement.
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
- 7+ years of media planning experience, with a proven track record in both brand and performance marketing.
- Experience working across multiple media channels (traditional and digital) and with internal and external teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage media buys and work closely with vendors.
- Proficient in analytics tools and data interpretation for media performance (Google Analytics, Nielsen, Moat, etc.).
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including paid media, data, and analytics.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
