Managing Director, Media & Marketing
Job Description
Your Responsibilities Include
- Acting as the leader and key stakeholder in Stand Together’s Media and Marketing partnerships and engagements
- Building and executing a strategy to launch multiple activations that advance Stand Together's most leveraged opportunities with clear, measurable objectives
- Full program management of our Media and Marketing partnerships ranging from building a vision down to the day-to-day execution of the program strategy
- Leading a team that could include Content Strategists, and Directors of Activations and Events
- Working with internal teams across Stand Together, impact partners, and external vendors to identify and create partnership assets for media distribution
- Creating a vision and plan to cultivate new Media and Marketing partnerships building upon our current engagements
- Develop, design, and implement strategies and marketing campaigns that are woven into the cultural fabric through media and entertainment
- Developing recommendations for experiments and innovative approaches for Stand Together to increase its impact. Setting KPI’s and success measures and holding yourself and your team accountable to delivering on value
- Internalizing relevant market developments in the entertainment/sporting industry that will inform our strategy, and providing a consistent cadence of updates and knowledge sharing for a matrixed team
- Building relationships with potential clients and partners through networking and attending promotional events
- Owning an operating plan with clear budgets and timelines, and reporting on progress and outcomes
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
- 8+ years of professional partnership and marketing experience in a high-performance environment; Entertainment experience preferred
- Experience developing and executing dynamic and effective marketing, communication, and activation platforms that drive results on a national scale
- Strong understanding of programs that integrate social or digital media
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor matrixed teams through both direct supervising and influence-based leadership
- Exceptional B2B and B2C partnership building track record
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be dynamic, forward-thinking, extremely analytical and well organized
- Must have strong strategic thinking and planning skills and a proven track record of operationalizing a strategy
- Must possess problem solving capabilities and navigate ambiguity to address and resolve issues that face a scaling enterprise. When necessary, be comfortable as an effective negotiator in complex business situations
- Must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills
- Familiarity with the standard demographic research & analytics tools and ability to derive insights from the data
