Director, Giving Societies (Major Gift Fundraising)

As the Director, Giving Societies, you will be responsible for crafting strategies that will inspire and engage donor partners to further their - and the organizations’ - shared goals through giving society engagement. These strategies will be designed and executed based on proven fundraising strategy, data, and measurable results.
To be successful in the role, you will develop and execute scaled strategies to complement the donors’ individual partnerships with Stand Together. Through giving society participation, donors will increase their partnership with Stand Together and their network of peers.
What You Will Do
- Develop comprehensive giving society strategies that articulate a sustainable, durable, and achievable path to increase contributions and participation.
- Lead the collaborative effort to develop the benefits of giving society engagement and demonstrate the ROI of participation with donor partners.
- Collaborate with frontline development and leadership teams in developing and sourcing, measuring, and reporting on the successes and missed opportunities.
- Design and implement strategies to steward and grow existing donor partner engagement and contributions through plan execution, reports, metrics, and respective KPIs.
What You Will Bring
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in giving club/society management and operations, preferably at the $1 million+ level. Previous experience in frontline fundraising is a benefit but not required.
- Demonstrated major gift development and giving society implementation including fundraising, prospect management, marketing (case for support, messaging, style guide), strategic planning, donor relations, etc.
- Ability to drive moves managements plans for multiple concurrent projects/funding opportunities to completion through continuous transformation and an entrepreneurial approach.
- Experience working across teams and departments to articulate objectives, define deliverables, and meet deadlines—especially in dynamic, matrixed environments with several priorities and objectives.
- Collaborative, collegial spirit with a commitment to evaluation and continuous improvement. High level of humility and integrity.
- Proactive and entrepreneurial, operating with speed as well as a commitment to quality work product.
