Events Coordinator
Job Description
Your Responsibilities Include
- Contributing to the success of Catalyst and Stand Together Foundation events through planning logistics and providing on-site support.
- Owning the planning and implementation of select events from start to finish, including stakeholder coordination, budget development, registration, venue selection, vendor management, etc.
- Partnering with colleagues to help develop the objectives of the event, and ensuring they connect to the larger goals of the strategy and organization
- Developing an understanding of industry best practices and supporting the continual improvement of our event processes
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
- 3+ years of experience in event planning
- Superior level of attention to detail and organizational skill.
- Strong customer focus, and an ability to anticipate customer needs.
- Self-starter who can jump into projects with a can-do attitude, and see them through to completion.
- Ability to connect the dots between organizational vision and event objectives, and use that knowledge to inform decisions.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, while communicating clearly and consistently with multiple. stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Professionalism, openness to change and new ideas, and humility.
- Ability to travel approximately 10-15%.
- Ability to work on-site in Arlington, VA (this is not a hybrid role).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
