As the Director of Marketing Strategy (Americans for Prosperity), you'll take a leadership role on the Stand Together Integrated Marketing and Communications Team. You'll report to the Managing Director of Grassroots Brand Marketing and develop, nurture, and deliver comprehensive brand standards and strategies that amplify and accelerate organizational objectives for the Americans for Prosperity (AFP) brand. While no day is typical, you’ll have the opportunity to gather inputs from key partners, gain consensus across teams, develop critical milestones, and share measurable engagement results with leadership. As a leader on the team, you will be the primary point of contact for key stakeholders and the driver of brand strategies. Your challenge will be creating solid brand campaigns with an agile approach that allow you to maximize "seize the moment" opportunities in an ever-changing political landscape.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute compelling and differentiated AFP brand marketing strategies for diverse audience segments that inform tactical plans aligned to issue/brand priorities.
- Identify and develop content/engagement opportunities that create impactful experiences for our audiences and motivate them to take action. AFP’s audience groups range from activists to grassroots organizing teams to influential policy thought leaders and beyond.
- Develop unique brand marketing activations that are founded in sound strategies, aligned to core AFP brand priorities and employ testing/experimentation methodologies where appropriate.
- Initiate and nurture strategic partnerships to amplify AFP’s strategic priorities
- Partner with stakeholders and contributors across the Stand Together community to identify audience and channel opportunities to drive and deepen AFP brand awareness, reach, and engagement with target audiences across the country.
- Proactively leverage data to capture market opportunities to drive our issues forward or build coalitions in the ever-changing political landscape. Monitor brand and audience changes/trends and adjust plans as needed.
- Operate as a strategic brand marketing champion for AFP, developing communication touchpoints with key stakeholders to ensure an effective two-way flow of knowledge and feedback that best supports and advances AFP’s core issues.
- Manage agency partners where appropriate, including SOW development, project briefings, workflow, expectation management, budgeting, and results monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape AFP’s positioning in the ever-changing political landscape, translating insights into innovative and agile solutions that solve society’s biggest issues.
- Support the Managing Director of Grassroots Brand Marketing to drive the execution of brand strategies across the Stand Together community.
- Drive team alignment and engagement around AFP brand marketing strategies and activations by promoting a clear and inspiring vision and consistent brand standards.
- Model a leadership style that conveys confidence and gains respect from others, keeping leaders informed about key issues and elevating gaps/opportunities when appropriate.
- Operate as a champion for the organizational culture, which includes modeling and applying our guiding principles in business and interpersonal interactions and inspiring others to do the same.
- Lead ideation sessions with capabilities teams to drive forward momentum of AFP brand marketing objectives.
- Ensure appropriate resourcing is in place to meet objectives.
- Ensure timely and effective delivery against key AFP brand-related milestones.
- Partner with the creative and content teams to develop and deliver internal and external audience-facing communications, voice assets/tools kits, photography, etc.
- Develop and implement tracking, analysis, and reporting of AFP brand marketing results and impact of outreach investments.
- Partner with the intelligence and capabilities teams to establish qualitative and quantitative KPIs that effectively measure the impact and success of AFP brand marketing strategies and activations.
- Lead brand performance review sessions with senior AFP and Marketing and Communications leaders, key stakeholders and contributors to assess gaps, opportunities, and critical learnings for quarterly assessments and other reports.

Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
- 10+ years of professional experience in brand, marketing, or related fields, demonstrating progressive career growth and a track record of exceptional results
- A proven leader and team player, with experience in inspiring and collaborating with cross-functional teams in support of shared business priorities while positively influencing the work of peers with and without direct reporting accountability
- Demonstrated experience understanding the needs of different audience/stakeholder segments and developing appropriate and innovative marketing products and communication strategies
- Proven success in translating organizational vision and high-level objectives into strategic and actionable integrated brand marketing plans with clear goals and KPIs that accurately measure effectiveness and progress
- Experience in successful internal and external brand positioning strategies and implementation
- A history of success founded in developing solid relationships with key internal/external partners and senior-level stakeholders within complex and matrixed organizational structures with alignment and support for high impact decisions
- Experience in engaging, coaching, and developing high-performance teams to achieve impactful results and promoting an environment where everyone is valued and included
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- A highly organized approach with a proven ability to deliver on tight deadlines and work within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
