Legislative Analyst
Job Description
Your Responsibilities Include
- You will track analyze ongoing legislation and the foundational education landscape
- You will compare and contrast state-level education policies
- You will draft policy briefs, bill summaries, and weekly policy updates
- You'll support the Policy team with research, scheduling, contracts, and other administrative tasks
- You will draft legislation
- You will contribute to specialized projects on an ad hoc basis
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
- You can organize, analyze, and summarize large sets of data
- You can travel up to 25% of the time, depending on the need
- You’re able to work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, remote environment
- You're able to capture and synthesize input and support from multiple stakeholders and communities for more effective communication across teams and individuals
- You're an excellent written and verbal communicator, have strong attention to the detail, and high professionalism
- You have a background in education, policy, or law
