Senior Director, PMO and Operations
Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
- PMO Leadership:
- Design and implement a comprehensive PMO framework that supports project intake, prioritization, and oversight.
- Ensure alignment with organizational strategic goals and resource availability.
- Oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, and control, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project managers, offering support, coaching, and mentorship.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing PMO culture.
- Vendor Operations Leadership:
- Provide leadership to new vendor operations capability driving strong relationships with trusted vendor partners.
- Develop processes for effective supplier onboarding, performance management, and regular business reviews.
- Strategic Planning and Alignment:
- Work closely with leadership to align PMO and operational strategies with the organization's overall vision and objectives.
- Ensure that projects and initiatives are prioritized and executed in a manner that supports the achievement of strategic goals.
- Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning to optimize project delivery and address skill gaps.
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Develop and produce strategic reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to aid decision-making and enhance visibility into project status.
- Utilize data analytics to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Operational Excellence:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify inefficiencies and streamline operations.
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization:
- 10+ years of experience in project management, operations, or related roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and initiatives.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and metrics.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in driving process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams.
