As part of this mission, our Enterprise Data & Information (EDI) team plays a crucial role in ensuring that the right data is delivered to the right people at the right time. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Ops team and help lead our efforts to build a robust and scalable data foundation that supports data-driven decision-making across the Stand Together Community.
How You Will Contribute
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data architectures and pipelines to support enterprise-wide data initiatives.
- Take ownership of key data architecture responsibilities, including the design and oversight of data platforms, ensuring alignment with long-term data strategies and business objectives.
- Lead complex data engineering projects from concept to execution, collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to ensure data solutions meet business needs.
- Partner with the engineering team and leadership to oversee the management and transformation of our data platforms, identifying opportunities for improvements in efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Work closely with data engineers, architects, and analysts to build a unified data infrastructure that serves as the backbone for our data operations and products.
- Partner with our Data Refinery and Data Products teams to deliver consumable, high-quality datasets for end users within the Community.
- Collaborate with IT and Cloud teams to implement server-side integrations and ensure optimal performance of data platforms.
- Monitor data flows and pipelines, resolving issues and optimizing for performance and reliability.
- Actively contribute to the development and enforcement of data governance, stewardship, and best practices across the organization.
What You Will Bring
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields with demonstrated success in architecting and managing enterprise-scale data solutions.
- Strong experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS) and ETL/ELT frameworks (Five Tran, dbt Core/Cloud).
- Proven ability to lead complex data projects, working closely with business and technical stakeholders.
- Experience in data architecture and the design of scalable, reliable data pipelines and platforms.
- Expertise in SQL, Python, or similar programming languages for data manipulation and automation.
- Familiarity with data warehousing, data governance, and metadata management practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a passion for improving data operations and platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Experience in robust data governance and security, aligning to IT and data best practices.
- Experience with setting up scalable, automateddata quality monitoring processes aligning to data quality best practices.
