Marketing Data Scientist - BI Engineer
Job Description
Your Responsibilities Include
- Manage and maintain our key data assets to ensure they contain the latest and most accurate data needed to support our analytic and marketing activities.
- Work with current and new tools and other teams to establish, automate, and evolve subject data sets used for analysis and reporting.
- Utilize data tools and advanced analysis techniques to create, reshape, integrate, and validate data needed to answer key questions and support measurement of our key projects and initiatives through data.
- Analyze data from multiple sources to develop comprehensive understanding of user behavior and content performance to make recommendations that optimize marketing efforts.
- Break down complex questions into actionable steps, use data to conduct advanced analysis and share results and recommendations with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other analysts and marketing teams to implement data-driven measurement solutions, ensuring our campaigns and content hit the mark every time.
- Build and maintain new dashboards and related analysis built using Tableau
- Develop models to improve content and marketing activities where needed.
- Present complex data in a clear and understandable manner to non-data professionals.
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist and/or BI Data Engineer, preferably within the marketing or content space.
- Proficient in data analytics and machine learning tools (Tableau Prep, R, Python, SQL, etc).
- Solid proficiency with the following tools: (Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, Snowflake, Funnel.io, Google Analytics, Iterable, and Sprinklr) but able to quickly learn others.
- Experience performing analytics around following topics: Email Analytics, Web Analytics, Social Analytics, Customer Analytics, Content Analytics, Predictive Analytics, machine learning, etc… and familiar with the differing data structures, metadata, and challenges each present.
- Solid data experience in cleaning, re-shaping, and integrating larger multi-channel data sets, applying statistical techniques, and providing insights to drive business decisions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into easily digestible content.
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
