Senior Writer (op-eds)
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and execution of op-eds that align with Stand Together's mission, positioning our initiatives at the forefront of societal change discussions.
- Develop thought leadership content alongside our senior leaders that establishes Stand Together as a leading voice in addressing America's biggest challenges.
- Communicate our mission, values, and successes to a diverse audience, including stakeholders, partners, and the public, in the content you create.
- Work closely with the communications and marketing teams to ensure messaging consistency across all platforms.
- Mentor junior writers, sharing expertise and guiding them in producing impactful content.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of professional writing experience, preferably with a background in journalism.
- Proven experience in op-ed writing, thought leadership, and creating high-profile messaging documents – with the clips that show it.
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with teams across the organization.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills to assess content effectiveness and adapt strategies accordingly.
- The ability to write across multiple platforms for diverse audiences, including donors.
- A commitment to Stand Together's mission and principles.
