Events and Marketing Writer (Development)
Job Description
Your Responsibilities Include
- Write engaging email content and event invites on Stand Together’s strategies and priorities, delivered to hundreds of the nation’s top business leaders, philanthropists, and social entrepreneurs.
- Create and drive the editing process of high-quality, investor communications, such as weekly marketing emails, event invites, event recruitment communications, and other written materials for Stand Together donor partner events, that convey the organization’s mission and strategy while inspiring retention and recruitment.
- Manage a variety of projects from conception to final, polished final product.
- Provide the highest level of customer focus from project conception to completion, anticipating challenges, handling multiple project revisions, and meeting deadlines.
- Proactively seek and synthesize information from diverse internal sources with varying degrees of detail, and drive the inquiry process to get answers when questions remain.
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
- 5+ years’ experience writing (ex. emails, invitations, speeches, scripts, letters, etc.)
- Demonstrated skill in translating complex ideas and strategies into effective and persuasive written communications.
- Ability to adapt voice and style for letters and emails from different signers.
- A passion for learning, including studying the most effective writing, communications, and marketing techniques.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment as well as independently, and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Experience managing several projects simultaneously, with an ability to appropriately incorporate feedback from diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to high quality work, confidentiality, and customer satisfaction.
