Conference Center Manager
Job Description
What You Will Do
- Oversee the daily operations of the conference center, ensuring the facility is maintained, event setups are on point, and the overall experience meets high standards.
- Manage intake and booking processes to deliver exceptional service throughout each event’s lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with internal partners to tailor services to their needs and foster meaningful, impactful event experiences.
- Develop and implement a strategic approach to service delivery, prioritizing personalization and attention to detail.
- Coordinate with departments such as security, facilities, audio-visual, and technology to ensure integrated service and seamless attendee experiences.
- Recruit, train, and manage a skilled team of conference center staff, including intake coordinators, event coordinators, and setup personnel.
- Prepare and oversee the conference center budget, negotiating supplier contracts and optimizing resources.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to measure performance, prioritize high-impact activities, and refine processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance service offerings.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, well-presented facility at all times.
What You Will Bring
- 8+ years of experience in venue management and the hospitality industry.
- Strong background in client relations and event design, with a record of success in high-end hospitality.
- Proven leadership experience managing on-site teams (e.g., cleaning, security, front-of-house).
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to develop and execute exceptional hospitality concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and work/project management tools.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed by the conference schedule.

This position is on-site Monday through Friday in our Ballston HQ and will require flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
