Data Visualization Analyst
Job Description
Your Responsibilities Include
- Own planning, development, and delivery of data visualization products across the portfolio, including: dashboards, charts, reports, graphs, slide deck presentations, collateral, and other products
- Contribute to planning for dashboards at scale. The ideal candidate would think beyond the creation of single dashboards for single use cases. They would be able to consider strategy for enterprise-level solutions to data reporting and visualization needs across multiple project types and use cases
- Contribute to decision-making about the technology stack used to author and publish internally- and externally-facing business intelligence and reporting
- Create and maintain data model and connections between multiple input sources to support BI tools & projects.
- Develop Customer-focused dashboards and reporting infrastructure for the Catalyst Impact Grant Program, our original survey research, and Impact team operations alongside customers and key stakeholders.
- Single point iterations/reports that allow for various internal and external stakeholders to view the relevant results of their work.
- Over-time representations for various internal and external stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and coaching.
- Decision-making aids specific to high-value, high-risk opportunities requiring specific analysis.
- Develop top-grade visual representations of results necessary to communicate findings in the public sphere.
- Collaborate with the Stand Together Foundation data science team to maximize impact and customer value of those tools through visualizations.
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
- Expert data visualization skills, specifically with Power BI or Tableau mindset (to inform business decisions) but knowledge with other BI toolset is acceptable.
- Attention to customer needs and focus on understanding their decision-making, and soliciting and acting on feedback on products
- Excellent listening skills, with a superlative ability to convert internal and external partners needs into actionable BI product requirements
- Experience with UX and user experience research/practices (a sense of humility to solicit input from various consumers of data visualizations, which inform the development and design of the output)
- Willingness to work across teams and lean into a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Work location is office in Arlington
